It's Official! La Posada, Casa de Esperanza Merge
La Posada and Casa de Esperanza joined together on Oct. 1. The merger resulted in Casa's programs being offered under the new name "Casa Community Services by La Posada."
La Posada, with more than 700 residents, offers independent living in a variety of home options and also houses assisted living, memory care and a skilled nursing center on its 110-acre campus. Community Services will continue to offer preschool and child care; adult day care; behavioral health services; and the Casa Community Center.
“Casa de Esperanza has always been a forward-looking organization, able to change with the times and needs of greater Green Valley. As Casa Community Services, we will continue in our goal to serve the entire community and wisely use the contributions that allow us to assist the people we serve with quality programs,” said Bill McCreery, Casa Community Services Director.
La Posada’s CEO, Lisa Israel, said, “The merger between Casa and La Posada seems to me to be the most natural of progressions for our two organizations, and a model example of proactive consolidation between those with similar missions to serve their communities.”
Children Play in the Shade!
Thanks to a gift from the American Academy of Dermatology, Johnson & Johnson Consumer Product Companies and local dermatologist Dr. Linda Ilizaliturri, children at Los Ninos del Valle Preschool and Child Care have a new shady place to play. The structure helps protect children from ultraviolet rays and helps teach the importance of sun safety.
